January 27 (Wed) 7:00pm Aeronav vs Jeppesen

Event Date:
Wednesday, January 27, 2016 - 7:00pm to 9:00pm

The arrival of winter forces pilots to rethink their flights. The reduced daylight hours and increased cloud cover make IFR conditions more prevalent. This makes understanding IFR charts all the more important. If you have been flying IFR for a few years, you might be more familiar with Jeppesen IFR Charts. If you are newer to aviation you may rely on Aeronav. San Carlos Flight Center CFI and Ground School Instructor Brian Elliot leads us on a discussion of Aeronav and Jeppesen charts and their application and use in IFR conditions. While the charts may look very similar on the surface, Brian Elliot will dive into the similarities and differences between the two, and how you can get the most use out of them as a pilot.
